The Appletree Inn

The Appletree, Marton.

The Appletree is the perfect place to relax over a pint and the paper. On the bar we have John Smiths Cask and 2 regularly changing guest beers.

You will find NO Smooth flow beers on our bar!

We won an award from Camra in Summer 2002 for our beer and Melanie is meticulous in her care of the cellar and the beer.

Our guest beers are carefully sourced, often from local breweries like Suddaby's of Malton, Wold Top from Driffield, York Brewery and Rudgate Brewery from York.
We often feature a 'Mystery Ale' on the bar as the regulars love to try and guess what it is. we often feature our own label beer from Moorhouses of Pendle called 'TJ's Tipple' which is extremely drinkable.

Our latest addition to the bar is our own beer brewed especially for us by Suddaby's in Malton. It is a light, refreshing beer with a subtle taste of... apples!

We ran a competition before christmas to name our signature beer and the winner was Katey Goodwin. The newly named 'Windfall' is available in bottles to take home or drink in the bar and it makes a regular appearance as a guest beer.

Along our popular hand-pulled beers we also have a bottle beer menu

Light bodied for its strength and with a little hoppy dryness at the finish. A spicy clove like aroma.

Deus Champagne Beer £22.00
75cl, 11.5% ABV
A heavenly drink, looking suspiciously like Dom Perignon and served ice cold in Champagne Flutes.
Brewed in Belgium the beer is then sent to the Champagne region of France and treated in exactly the same manner ~ long maturation, re-fermenting in the bottle, turning of the bottle, yeast removal and dosing.
Highly recommended.

Some of these go fabulously well with food, the Frambozen is wonderful with TJ's Roast Haunch of Venison with Chocolate Sauce.
