The Inn itself is steeped in history with evidence of a medieval hostelry under the foundations and the beautiful stonework was ‘borrowed’ from the ruins of Byland Abbey.
Once a 19th century farmhouse, the Inn has recently been lovingly refurbished and furnished to reflect its history and is now run by Mel & TJ Drew, formerly of the award winning
Appletree at Marton.
